Do you struggle with perfectionism, frustration, or the feeling that nothing is ever quite good enough? Have unrealistic expectations been stealing your peace, joy, or even affecting your relationships?
In this episode, I share a personal reflection on perfectionism and why striving for perfection in an imperfect world can leave us feeling disappointed, discouraged, and exhausted. Together, we’ll explore the difference between healthy excellence and unhealthy perfectionism, and why learning to accept imperfections can be a powerful step toward emotional healing and greater happiness.
As Catholics, we are called to pursue holiness, but that doesn’t mean expecting flawless performance from ourselves or others. God works through imperfect people, imperfect circumstances, and everyday moments of grace. Learning to extend patience, acceptance, and compassion can strengthen our relationships with our spouses, children, friends, and ourselves.
If you’ve ever felt trapped by the pressure to be perfect, I invite you to join me for this encouraging reflection. What is one area of your life where God may be inviting you to let go of perfection and embrace peace instead?
