Is There Cause for Hope

by | May 31, 2019 | Prayers and Novenas

Many say we’re living in hopeless times. We see addictions, violence and an ever-increasing suicide rate. Clearly, many are feeling despair.

But is there any cause for hope? What if you knew the future? No… I’m not talking about clairvoyance or going to psychics. What if someone with inside information told you what’s coming? Someone reliable who made you a promise?

In all the chaos and disharmony we’re experiencing, it’s natural to feel some apprehension. But the messages of Our Lady of Fatima gave us not only warnings, but a promise. Her promise is that in the end her Immaculate Heart will triumph.

She warned that if the Pope did not heed her message to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart that Russia would spread her errors around the world. Clearly, that’s happened. Not only did communism spread, but the scourge of abortion in the world originated in Russia as well. And what destruction has been wrought.

But Mary promised that in the end her Immaculate Heart will triumph and there would be peace. Do you believe that? I do. And that makes a big difference.

Now, of course, we’re not bound to believe private revelation…but the Church has told us the revelations and messages of Fatima are worthy of our belief. It’s up to us.

So, we have a choice—listen to the news and the cynicism and despair so prevalent in the world, or listen to Our Lady. We can choose hope over despair.

Heed her messages. Pray the rosary daily for peace. It’s our weapon in these evil days. It never fails. Get to confession regularly. Be that sign of hope for so many struggling in this world of fear.

The Triumph is coming… it’s just the darkest before the dawn…
