The Paschal Mystery is one of the central concepts of Catholic faith relating to the history of salvation. Its main subject is the passion, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ – the work God the Father sent His Son to accomplish on earth. According to the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “The Paschal Mystery accomplished once for all by the redemptive death of His Son Jesus Christ.” [1]
How are you preparing for the sacred week where we enter into the Paschal Mystery of our redemption? As we complete our Lenten journey into Easter, this is a good time to evaluate those sins and hurts that cling to us…that keep us bound in spiritual and emotional chains. This is the time to move towards receiving what the Redeemer has done for you.
Allison Ricciardi, LMHC encourages you to contemplate on the meaning of the Paschal Mystery of our redemption as you prepare yourself for Holy Week.
