For the devout Catholic parent, often nothing is more challenging to one’s faith than having a child leave it when they become an adult. You did your best in raising your kids in the Christian faith and can’t comprehend what went wrong.
It’s unsettling when parents see their son or daughter abandon the faith they were brought up in, but the key is to accept that your child’s decision is not simply the result of any lack in raising them in a good Catholic home.
