Listen to Allison Ricciardi, LMHC on Relevant Radio’s The Drew Mariani Show as she discusses: Victims of Sexual Assault.
Sexual assault is when any person forces someone to participate in a sexual act when they don’t want to. It doesn’t always take physical force to sexually assault a victim. Attackers can use threats or intimidation to make a victim feel afraid or unable to refuse them. It is also sexual assault if the victim is drunk, drugged, unconscious, or too young to be legally able to agree to sexual contact.
(Discussion with Allison begins in 2nd half of radio show at –39:12 mark.)
