Going through a stressful time in your life?

Select some Scripture verses to repeat to yourself all day.  Any verses will do – as long as they uplift your spirit and remind you that the Lord is with you during this difficult and challenging time. (Book of Psalms a great place to look or choose scriptures from Daily Mass Readings.)

Write them down on scraps of paper and tape them on mirrors, inside your briefcase, in your car, on the fridge, etc.

Read them whenever you see the scraps of paper as you go throughout your day.

During those moments when you feel the most stressed – inhale deeply – say the verses in your mind, then exhale.


The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything,
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:5b-7
